George Paul Azzopardi has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. George Paul began their career at Schneider Electric as an Electrical Design Engineer/Project Leader from May 2000 to January 2005. George Paul then worked as a Production Supervisor at Schneider Electric from January 2005 to February 2007.
Following that, George joined BlackBerry in February 2007 and held various positions over the course of almost 10 years. George Paul started as a Manager, Production, overseeing a team of 50-170 employees and focusing on continuous improvement in cost, quality, and on-time delivery. From April 2009 to September 2010, they served as an NPI Pilot Manager, responsible for coordinating and managing prototype build activity for new products. Subsequently, they became a Senior NPI Program Manager for BlackBerry's Manufacturing & Supply Chain Management, leading development and engineering prototype build activity for new products until December 2016.
Currently, George is working at TextNow since December 2016. George Paul started as the Head of Supply Chain, Operations, managing the supply chain end-to-end for the handheld wireless business and efficiently overseeing the fulfillment operation in Waterloo. George Paul then became the Manager of Vendor Management & Operations from August 2020 to January 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Director, Procurement & Operations, where they continue to contribute their expertise in procurement and operations.
George Paul Azzopardi pursued their education at the Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. From 1997 to 2000, they completed a degree in Electrical Engineering Technician/Technologist-Control Systems, specializing in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Following this, from 2003 to 2005, they obtained a Project Management Certificate, focusing on Project Management.
