Ricky Luo

Ricky Luo has more than a decade of work experience in various roles. Ricky is currently working at TextNow as a Sr. People & Culture Manager, where they started in June 2022. Prior to this, they were the Employee Onboarding & Engagement Manager at TextNow from April 2021 to June 2022.

Before joining TextNow, Ricky worked at Finastra from 2017 to 2021. During their time at Finastra, they held several roles including Culture & Talent Specialist, Global Onboarding Program Manager, Talent Value Creation Specialist, and Global Talent Analyst.

Ricky's work experience also includes a position as an Organizational Effectiveness Advisor at Enbridge from 2014 to 2016. Ricky was responsible for designing and implementing learning initiatives, managing communications strategies, maintaining metrics and evaluations, and delivering various programs such as mentorship and onboarding.

Additionally, Ricky worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto in 2014, and also co-founded and served as a Managing Director at Talent and Growth Services from 2013 to 2014.

Earlier in their career, Ricky worked at Enbridge Gas Distribution as a Change Management Coordinator from 2013 to 2014, and at Scarborough Campus Students' Union as an Orientation Senior Leader from 2012 to 2013.

Ricky was also involved in DECA UTSC, where they served as Co-President and Director of Human Resources from 2011 to 2013, achieving growth in member participation and overseeing various programs and initiatives.

Ricky's work experience began in 2010 as a Junior Recruiter at Reliance Home Comfort, where they specialized in sales roles and implemented a campus recruiting initiative.

Prior to that, they co-founded Xilo Creative in 2010 and played a crucial role in launching the company, establishing the brand, and facilitating team meetings.

Ricky Luo obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Human Resources from the University of Toronto Scarborough. Ricky attended the university from 2010 to 2014. In addition to their degree, Ricky has obtained several certifications. In April 2019, they became a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) from HRPA - Human Resources Professionals Association. In October 2020, they obtained two certifications, namely Diversity and Inclusion in a Global Enterprise from LinkedIn and Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging from LinkedIn.
