Brian Derstein

Brian Derstein is an experienced Engineer Specialist in Aerodynamics at Textron Aviation since January 2006. Throughout the career, Brian has held various positions including Senior Engineer and Engineer-D, leading efforts to ensure aircraft performance and handling qualities meet certification requirements, while supporting systems development through collaboration with multiple disciplines. Brian's expertise extends to new product development, with significant contributions to stability and control analysis for various aircraft models, including the Cessna SkyCatcher and Citation CJ4, as well as involvement in wind tunnel testing. Prior experience includes a cooperative education role at NASA Dryden Flight Research Center, focusing on control law design, signal processing, and apparatus development for flight testing. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Wichita State University, completed in 2006.
