Matthew Schmid

Matthew Schmid is a Flight Test Engineer II in the Performance Group at Textron Aviation, with a career that began in July 2022. Matthew also serves as a Certified Flight Instructor at Textron Aviation Employees Flying Club Inc. and as a Tow Pilot with the Kansas Soaring Association. Previous experiences include a role as a Human Factors Engineer at Textron Aviation and a Student Research Assistant at the National Institute for Aviation Research, where contributions focused on thermoplastic welding technologies for aerospace applications. Prior to these positions, Matthew worked as a Certified Flight Instructor at Augusta Flight Center, emphasizing student training safety, and started an early career at Kroger as a cashier.
