Janet S. Fogarty

Janet S. Fogarty was named Textron's vice president and deputy general counsel in June 2020. She is responsible for managing the Corporate legal staff with primary responsibility for overseeing all non-litigation legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, SEC-related matters, corporate finance, antitrust, ethics and compliance, global trade compliance and intellectual property. Fogarty is a member of the enterprise-wide Legal Council and leads the Legal Council Working Group.

Fogarty joined Textron Financial Corporation in 2004 as in-house counsel, and held positions of increasing authority, culminating in her role as senior vice president and assistant general counsel. Prior to joining Textron Financial Corporation, Fogarty was an attorney in private practice in Rhode Island.

She received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and her B.A. in economics from Boston College.
