Mayada Baydas is an Independent Director at Tez Financial Services. Prior to their current position, they were a Professional Researcher and Lecturer at the University of California, Davis from January 2001 to June 2001. There, they taught financial management and investment classes to more than 500 students and conducted research on economic development. Before their time at UC Davis, they were a Research Specialist at The Ohio State University from October 1990 to August 1998. There, they prepared a report to the Strauss Commission on the Demand for Financial Services in the Microenterprise Sector in South Africa and conducted research on the demand for financial services in rural Egypt and the role of NGOs under the Rural Finance in Egypt project. Mayada has also authored several published articles.

Dr. Mayada Baydas is a certified board director and listed as one of the 100 most powerful Arab women by Arabian Business and the Financial Times' 40 leading businesswomen in the Arab world. Mayada has a PhD in Agricultural Economics from The Ohio State University, an MS in Agricultural Economics from American University of Beirut, and a BS in Agricultural Economics from American University of Beirut.
