Alejandro Valenciano has extensive work experience in the field of geophysics. Alejandro is currently working as the Director of Analytics at TGS since July 2020. Prior to that, they worked at PGS for 12 years, starting as a Research geophysicist in March 2008 and later becoming the Section Manager of Imaging & Inversion in April 2013. Before joining PGS, they were a Research associate at Stanford University from 2001 to 2008. Alejandro also had internships at 3DGeo in 2006 and ExxonMobil in 2004. Alejandro Valenciano began their career as a Research geophysicist at PDVSA INTEVEP, where they worked from December 1995 to August 2001.
Alejandro Valenciano holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Havana, which they obtained from 1989 to 1994. Alejandro then pursued their Master's degree in Physics at Universidad Simón Bolívar from 1994 to 1998. Finally, they went on to earn their PhD in Geophysics from Stanford University, completing their studies from 2001 to 2008.
