Gary Martin

Gary Martin has extensive work experience in the software development field. Gary is currently the Director of Software Development at TGS since 2022. Prior to that, they held various positions at ION GEO, including VP of High Performance Computing & Software Development, Director of Software Development, Manager of Software Development & Testing, and Senior Geophysicist. At ION GEO, their responsibilities included managing software development teams, global deployments, testing, software rollouts, support, and user communications. Before their time at ION GEO, they worked as a Geoscientist at Scott Pickford Group Ltd.

Gary Martin attended the University of Nottingham from 1987 to 1990, where they obtained a B.Sc. in Geology & Geography. Gary then pursued further education at the University of Houston from 1997 to 2004, earning a Master of Science (MS) in Geophysics and Seismology.
