Waqas Ahmed

Waqas Ahmed is an experienced professional in supply chain management and production planning, currently serving as the Deputy Manager Supply Chain at Thal Engineering since August 2022. Responsibilities include local procurement, managing the complete procure-to-pay cycle for local items, and improving procurement processes by developing competitive local sources. Prior to this role, Waqas held various positions at Yamaha Motor Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd., including Deputy Manager, where expertise in production planning, import planning, and material control was gained. Waqas began the career with internships at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited and Pakistan International Airlines, focusing on non-destructive testing techniques and various engineering processes. Waqas holds a Master's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management and dual Bachelor's degrees in Metallurgical Engineering, all from NED University of Engineering and Technology.
