Bert van der Wal

Bert Van Der Wal is an experienced project manager and contract manager with a diverse background in defense, transportation, and aviation sectors. Currently serving as Project Manager Defense at Thales Defense & Security, Inc. since March 2020, Bert previously held significant roles at Nederlandse Spoorwegen, where responsibilities included managing contracts for IT-related projects and overseeing the introduction of the public transport smartcard (OV-chipcard) in The Netherlands. Previous positions include project leadership at ProRail and Calibre Alignment, and extensive management experience with Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance. Bert holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the University of Twente and Rens en Rens.
