Carl Smith

Carl Smith is an experienced professional in wastewater planning and asset management, currently serving as Strategic Planning Lead at Thames Water since December 2008. Throughout this tenure, Carl has held various positions, including Strategic Investment Manager and Wastewater System Planning Lead, focusing on asset planning and modeling for significant wastewater treatment works in North London, such as Beckton, Deephams, and Slough. Prior to Thames Water, Carl worked as a Wastewater Asset Planner and Non-Infrastructure Technical Lead at MDA and had roles in environmental management and GIS expertise at Infoterra and Defra. Carl obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physical Geography from the University of Reading.
