Richard Dean

Richard Dean is a seasoned environmental professional with extensive experience in water quality management and regulatory compliance. Currently serving as a Specialist Advisor in permitting at Thames Water since September 2023, Richard previously held roles at the Environment Agency, including Senior Specialist in the Chemicals Assessment Unit, where the focus was on risk management of industrial chemicals under UK REACH. Additional experience includes positions as a Senior Environmental Modeller at WRc plc, and various leadership roles at the Environment Agency, addressing water quality and regulatory support. Richard holds an MSc in Environmental Toxicology from Ulster University and a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Surrey.
