McKay Christensen

McKay Christensen has a diverse and extensive work experience history. McKay is currently working as a Podcast Host for Open Your Eyes Podcast since May 2021. Prior to this, they served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Thanksgiving Point starting from April 2021.

Before joining Thanksgiving Point, Christensen had a long tenure at Melaleuca: The Wellness Company, where they held various positions including Senior Advisor from August 1995 (exact start date) until present, and President, Chief Strategy Officer, COO, and CFO from August 1995 until January 2020.

McKay also worked as the COO of KLAS Research, a healthcare research and insights company, from January 2020 to April 2021. From May 2015 to October 2018, Christensen served as the Managing Director, External Relations at Brigham Young University.

McKay began their career at Procter & Gamble as a Finance Manager in the Beauty Care Division from April 1989 to March 1992. McKay then moved on to work as the Director of Strategic Planning at Holiday Inn Worldwide from March 1992 to February 1993. Christensen later held the position of Vice President of Finance & Operations at U.S. Shoe Corporation from March 1993 to August 1995.

In the same year, they completed both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management and a Master of Accountancy degree from the Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business. Additionally, they pursued a minor in Japanese during their time at Brigham Young University, completing it in 1987. McKay then went on to earn a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Idaho in 2007.
