Sam McGrath is an experienced technology leader and engineer, currently serving as CTO and Principal Engineer at thatgamecompany since January 2018. McGrath co-founded Fractiv in July 2010, where a notable achievement includes the successful creation of the iOS/Android game Lane Splitter. Prior to these roles, McGrath held positions as Lead Engine Architect at Intel from January 2008 to July 2010, focusing on Project Offset after the acquisition of Offset Software, which McGrath owned from 2004 until its acquisition in 2008. Earlier in the career, McGrath was CTO and Lead Programmer at S2 Games between 2001 and 2004, where contributions included developing the game engine for Savage: The Battle for Newerth and composing the game's score.
