Gareth Jones

Gareth Jones is an experienced public relations executive currently employed at The AA since February 2024, while also serving as the founder of Amberland Media, where podcast and radio production is the focus, including the production of "The Potty Plotters Plotcast." Previously, Gareth held the position of Weekend & Sport Editor at BBC Radio Derby from November 2018 to September 2023, leading community-focused programming and managing the sports team. Prior roles at BBC Radio 5 Live included serving as Studio Director and freelance Broadcast Journalist, where Gareth contributed to news and sports output. Additionally, Gareth worked as an OpenMedia Trainer at BBC Academy and has a background as Station Sound Producer at BBC Radio Derby and Local Radio Sport Broadcast Journalist for various BBC Local Radio stations. Educationally, Gareth completed A-levels at South Derbyshire 6th Form and received GCSEs from William Allitt School.
