Katie Dzwierzynski

Katie Dzwierzynski has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.

Katie started their career as a Lead Mentor in the Out of State Student Mentor Program at the University of South Carolina, where they were responsible for overseeing the Media Relations Committee and planning and facilitating various meetings and events.

Katie then worked as a Health & Science Reporter at Medill News Service, covering stories related to sports medicine and fitness, with a special focus on concussions among athletes.

After that, they joined Aerys Sports as a Senior Reporter, covering the University of South Carolina Gamecocks and general NCAA news. Katie also maintained a strong social media presence for both South Carolina and NCAA coverage.

Katie then transitioned to SB Nation as a Staff Writer/Editor, where they worked until June 2023.

Currently, Katie is working at The ABIS Group as a Senior News Editor/Associate Director of News Operations - Scheduling. Katie'sresponsibilities include curating stories, writing and editing news brief content, managing the schedules of news editors, and participating in company-wide projects.

Throughout their career, Katie has demonstrated strong writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to manage teams and work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Katie Dzwierzynski completed their education at different institutions. In 2003, they attended Lyons Township High School, where they did not receive a degree or specify their field of study. From 2007 to 2011, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Southern Studies at the University of South Carolina. Later, in 2012, they attended Northwestern University for a Master of Science in Journalism with a focus on Magazine Journalism.
