Carlos Salazar

Carlos Salazar has over 20 years of experience in finance and strategic operations. Carlos has held various leadership positions in reputable companies such as The Health Management Academy, Appian Corporation, LMI, Blue Insight Consulting, IntelliDyne, LLC, and Accenture.

At The Health Management Academy, Carlos serves as the Vice President of FP&A, working with influential leaders in healthcare to improve health for all.

While at Appian Corporation, Carlos held the role of Area Vice President, Strategy and Finance Operations, where they played a crucial role in enabling the growth of the company's software business and enhancing customer success through financial planning, forecasting, and collaborative management.

During their time at LMI, Carlos served as the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. Carlos played a key role in increasing enterprise value and building the financial management function for a $300M government contractor.

As an independent consultant at Blue Insight Consulting, Carlos provided strategic and operational business advisory services, with a focus on financial management for growth-focused technology and government contracting companies.

Prior to that, they served as the Director of Finance/Chief Financial Officer at IntelliDyne, LLC, where they built a high-performing finance team and developed the financial planning & analysis practice.

Carlos started their career at Accenture as a Finance Manager, gaining experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting for complex programs and business units.

Throughout their career, Carlos Salazar has demonstrated expertise in financial planning & analysis, team leadership, strategic planning, business modeling, and collaborative management.

Carlos Salazar has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Finance from Virginia Tech. Carlos has also completed the Executive Program in Mastering Design Thinking from the MIT Sloan School of Management. In addition, Carlos has participated in a Leadership Program on Emotional Intelligence and Mindfulness at Duke University and has completed Leadership Coursework in Business Administration, Leadership, and Management at the Jack Welch Management Institute.

Carlos has obtained the Duke University Integrative Medicine Certificate of Mindfulness for Professionals in May 2015. Carlos also holds a Registered Yoga Teacher - 500 Hour Level certification from Yoga Alliance, which they obtained in 2012.
