Dikoma Shungu

Dikoma Shungu is a Professor of Physics in Radiology at Weill Cornell Medical College, where responsibilities include the development and teaching of advanced MRI techniques aimed at understanding neurological and neuropsychiatric disorder biomarkers. Shungu serves as a Fellow at the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and has been recognized as a Distinguished Investigator by the Academy of Radiology Research for significant contributions to Imaging Science. Previously, Shungu held the position of Research Scientist Committee Chair at the American Society of Neuroradiology, focused on Advanced Imaging Seminars, and has had notable academic appointments at Columbia University Medical Center and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Shungu's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Arkansas and extensive training in biomedical MRI physics and research at renowned institutions.
