Jessamyn Briers

Jessamyn Briers is a seasoned professional in policy and science communication, currently serving as Senior European Policy Officer at the Academy of Medical Sciences since July 2023. Prior experience includes roles as International and COP Policy Advisor and Scotland's Climate Assembly Project Officer at The Scottish Government, where responsibilities involved planning and implementing Scotland's Climate Assembly from November 2020 to January 2023. Jessamyn has also held positions such as Events Officer at SRUC, Event Organizer for Pint of Science, Evaluator for the Craigmillar Community Science Festival, and Science Communicator for Cancer Research UK. A strong educational background includes a Master's degree in Science Communication and Public Engagement from The University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of York.
