Katherine is a Senior Associate at The Ad Hoc Group. Katherine previously worked as an investment banking Associate in the Power, Utilities, and Infrastructure Group at the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). In this role, she supported M&A, debt, and equity transactions across a range of clients focused on the energy transition, including a battery storage developer, a distributed solar IPP, a nuclear energy company, and electric and gas utilities.
Prior to RBC, Katherine earned her MBA and M.S. in Sustainable Systems from the University of Michigan’s Erb Institute. While at Michigan, she was a member of the student-led Social Venture Fund and was a Climate Tech Fellow at Buoyant Ventures, where she helped develop the firm’s investment thesis on climate risk intelligence. Katherine also completed an internship with Zurich Insurance focused on climate risk and an internship with the Environmental Defense Fund and Walmart focused on sustainable packaging.
Katherine has a background in global sustainable development, having worked with USAID’s Global Climate Change Office before graduate school. She attended the George Washington University as an undergraduate where she studied International Affairs and Arabic. Katherine lives in Brooklyn, New York with her husband.
