Nathan Madson, JD, PhD, currently serves as a Staff Attorney at The Advocates for Human Rights, focusing on LGBTQI+ human rights and other critical issues while producing approximately 15 reports annually for various UN mechanisms. Previously, Nathan worked as an Attorney Editor at Thomson Reuters, analyzing state appellate cases, and as a Teaching Assistant at New York University, where teaching and advanced education certification were completed. Nathan has also contributed as a founding member of the Queer Legal Aid Society, providing essential legal services to the LGBTQ community, and has held various roles in research and legal analysis throughout a progressive career in human rights and law. Nathans's academic credentials include a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from New York University and a Juris Doctor, emphasizing international human rights law, from the University of Minnesota Law School.
