Ali Khater, PhD, is a seasoned project manager with extensive experience in aerospace, materials engineering, and education. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at The Aerospace Corporation, Ali leads initiatives in mission concept reviews and systems engineering for high-impact commercial and governmental projects. Prior to this role, Ali managed interdisciplinary teams at Rice University, resulting in multiple inventions and publications, and contributed to NASA’s ISS Program Office through research portfolio management and project oversight. With a strong foundation in materials engineering from both Rice University and the University of Central Florida, Ali has filed patents, delivered advanced manufacturing solutions, and supported STEM education as a mentor and instructor.
