Brad Townsend

Brad Townsend, PhD, PE, PMP, currently serves as the Director of Threat Intelligence at The Aerospace Corporation, leading a team focused on technical intelligence to enhance space security efforts. Townsend has an extensive background in military and strategic operations, having worked as a Space Strategy & Policy Advisor at The Joint Staff, where strategic guidance was provided for U.S. space policy and strategy. Additional roles include program management for NATO in Afghanistan and various leadership positions within the U.S. Army, including responsibilities for the Army's only Space Battalion. Townsend's educational credentials include a PhD in Military Strategy with a focus on Space Policy, as well as multiple master's degrees in related fields from prestigious institutions.
