Jacob Turner

Jacob Turner is a Research Data Scientist at The Aerospace Corporation, specializing in deep reinforcement learning and physics-informed machine learning within the Data Science & Artificial Intelligence Department. Previously, Jacob served as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Bath, where innovative algorithms were developed to enhance reinforcement learning agents using physics-informed neural networks. Additional experience includes internships with Aker Solutions and Cognite focused on offshore wind condition monitoring systems, and a role at Frontdoor, Inc. that involved building data pipelines and machine learning models for financial automation. Jacob's career began as a Design Engineer at Caltrans, leading to foundational skills in transportation project engineering. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Machine Learning and Autonomous Systems from the University of Bath and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Resources Engineering with minors in Computer Science and Physics from Humboldt State University.
