Joseph Nemanick

Joseph Nemanick is an accomplished Senior Research Scientist and Innovator in Residence at The Aerospace Corporation, where responsibilities include leading the Intelligent Battery Group and overseeing various projects related to corporate innovation strategy and machine learning applications for battery technology. Nemanick served as a NASA NIAC Fellow, acting as Principal Investigator for the development of APPLE, an advanced power system concept aimed at enhancing solar sail missions. Previous experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Scholar at UCLA, focusing on nanostructured and hybrid photovoltaic materials, and graduate studies at the California Institute of Technology, where Nemanick earned a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry. Academic foundations were laid at Carleton College, culminating in a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry.
