Zachary Lacey

Zachary Lacey is a skilled Flight System Software Engineer at The Aerospace Corporation, where contributions include supporting independent verification and validation (IV&V) test procedures for flight software associated with the Artemis II mission and missile defense systems. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Student Researcher at UCLA, focusing on creating an autonomous climbing robot, and as an Autonomy Engineer at AeroVironment, where Zachary conducted parameter studies to enhance visual inertial odometry for micro-aerial vehicles. Earlier academic work at the University of Maryland involved researching the dynamic properties of small regolith grains on asteroids. Zachary holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from UCLA and the University of Maryland, respectively, along with an Associate degree from Montgomery College.
