Oghor Okhai-Akhigbe

Oghor Okhai-Akhigbe is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as Principal Legal Counsel and Head of the Capacity Building Unit at The African Legal Support Facility since September 2018, where responsibilities include enhancing legal capacity across Africa. Oghor has held multiple senior positions, including Senior Legal Counsel for Extractives and Natural Resources, and has contributed significantly to policy development and business growth. In addition to this role, Oghor serves as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Governance, Nomination and Remuneration Committee at Paxhill Minerva Trustees Limited. Oghor's previous experience includes roles at Nigeria Infrastructure Debt Fund, Chapel Hill Denham, Etisalat Nigeria, Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie, and BNY Mellon. Oghor holds a Master of Science in Finance and Financial Law from SOAS University of London, a Master of Laws in Petroleum Taxation and Finance from the University of Dundee, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Kent.
