Axel de Vernou is currently a Course Assistant at the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs and serves as a Board Member at The 1768 Foundation Inc. Since September 2021, Axel has held several leadership positions in The Alexander Hamilton Society, including President Emeritus and Yale Chapter Co-President, while also participating as a National Defense Fellow and leading the Nicholas J. Spykman Fellowship. Additional experience includes roles as a Research Assistant for Dr. Michael Pillsbury and Mr. Scooter Libby, as well as various research positions at organizations such as the Foundation for Defense of Democracies and Yorktown Institute. Axel is also involved with the Geopolitics of Technology Initiative as a Conference Organizer and completed the Lux et Veritas Leadership Program. Education includes a dual degree in History and Global Affairs from Yale University, alongside advanced language studies in Russian, with prior educational experiences at Sacred Heart Schools, Northwestern University, Harvard University, and the University of Iowa.
