Cheryl DeMars

President and CEO - The Alliance at The Alliance

Cheryl DeMars has over 28 years of work experience, starting in 1984 as a Program Manager at Meriter Hospital. Cheryl then joined The Alliance in 2002 as the Director of Strategy and Market Activation, and later became the President and CEO in 2006. In this role, Cheryl works closely with the Board of Directors and senior leadership team to establish the strategic direction of The Alliance, which is a nonprofit cooperative of over 285 employer members. Cheryl oversees the negotiation and access to a network of healthcare providers, focusing on improving quality rather than quantity.

Cheryl DeMars attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1976 to 1980, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work and Sociology. Following that, they pursued further studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1982 to 1984, obtaining a Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) with a specialization in Social Work.
