Anne Gentry

Anne Gentry is the Executive Director of the Alpena Downtown Development Authority, a role held since April 2017, where leadership focuses on revitalizing the historic Downtown Alpena district through small business support, public art, and community development initiatives. In addition to this position, Anne serves as a local guest columnist for The Alpena News and is the founder and writer of Blog Downtown Alpena. Previous experience includes Visitor Experience Manager and Specialist roles at the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary, enhancing visitor engagement and organizing educational activities. Anne's career began at Brown University as a Campus Center Information Specialist. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature from Brown University and a CELTA Certificate from the University of Adelaide.
