Michelle Sweeney

Michelle Sweeney has extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, particularly in the area of operations and finance. Michelle currently holds the position of Vice President of Operations Strategy at The ALS Association since February 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Executive Officer of The ALS Association Tennessee Chapter from May 2019 to February 2022. Before their CEO role, they held the position of Vice President of Finance & Administration at the same organization from January 2017 to May 2019. Michelle's career in the nonprofit sector began in 2007 when they joined The ALS Association Tennessee Chapter as the Director of Finance and Operations, a role they held for ten years until January 2017. Before transitioning into the nonprofit sector, Michelle worked as a Commercial Account Representative at Hot Shot Delivery from January 1996 to January 2007.

Michelle Sweeney attended David Lipscomb High School from 1992 to 1996. Michelle then went on to study at Lipscomb University from 1996 to 2001, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General.
