Dr. Fergus Timmons serves as the Learning and Development Quality, Innovation and Growth Manager at The Alzheimer Society of Ireland since November 2013, leading initiatives to enhance the quality of life for individuals with dementia and their families. Previously, Dr. Timmons managed the custodial studies program at IT Sligo from 2006 to 2013 and coordinated training programs for family carers at The Carers Association between 2004 and 2006, achieving significant national impact through accredited training initiatives. Earlier experience includes roles at Skillnet Edinburgh, where projects focused on reducing barriers to education and employment for minority communities, and at Concern Worldwide, overseeing food aid distribution and project management. Academically, Dr. Timmons holds a Doctor of Education from Dublin City University, an MA in Online and Distance Education from The Open University, and multiple other qualifications related to management and development economics.
