Matthew J. Slaughter

Elected Fellow Public Affairs Public Policy at American Academy of Arts & Sciences

Matthew J. Slaughter serves as The Paul Danos Dean at The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth since 2008, where Matthew J. also holds positions as the Earl C. Daum 1924 Professor of International Business and has served as Associate Dean for Faculty and the MBA Program. Slaughter is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and an Elected Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Additional roles include being on the Board of Academic Advisors for the International Tax Policy Forum, an Academic Advisor for McKinsey & Company, and a member of the Economic Advisory Board for the Economic Innovation Group. Previous experience includes serving as an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations and as a member of the Council of Economic Advisers in the Executive Office of the President. Slaughter's academic career began at Dartmouth College, where Matthew J. held various professorial roles from 1994 to 2002. Slaughter holds a PhD in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Notre Dame.
