Başar Akkuzu, MBA, possesses extensive experience in business development and management across various industries. Currently serving as the Director of Business Development at The American Institute of Architects (AIA), Başar has previously held roles such as Senior Manager in both Business Development and Partnership Development within the same organization. Prior to AIA, Başar owned and operated Simit and Smith in Georgetown, Washington, DC, and held positions including Marketing Analyst and Business Development Analyst at the American Society for Microbiology, as well as Product Sales Manager at the American Health Care Association. Early career experiences include working as an Investment Consultant at AllFirst Bank and Brokerage. Akademik qualifications include an MBA in Business from the University of Baltimore and a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management from Widener University.
