Derek Washam

Derek Washam has extensive experience in international relations and global engagement, holding prominent roles at the American Institute of Architects (AIA) as Sr. Director of Global & Industry Engagement, Director of International Relations, and Sr. Manager of International Relations. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Consultant in International Government Relations at ExxonMobil and as a Research Assistant at Rhodes College. Derek also gained valuable experience as a Strategy Planning & Analysis Intern at FedEx and as a Research Intern at the George C. Marshall Institute. Derek holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from Rhodes College and attended Lincoln College, University of Oxford for further education.
