Praveen Patel

Praveen Patel, MS, PMP has over 25 years of work experience in the technology industry. Praveen is currently the Senior Vice President of Technology at The American Institute of Architects (AIA), where they are responsible for driving technology innovation and solutions. Previously, they held the position of Managing Director of Technology Services and Solutions at AIA, where they led various departments including Infrastructure & Operations, Security and Privacy, Project Management, and Customer Success.

Before joining AIA, Praveen worked at Impexium as the Senior Director of Professional Services for a brief period in 2014. Prior to that, they held the role of Director of Consulting Services at Aptify for five years, where they directed a global consulting team and oversaw the delivery of the company's Association Management Software (AMS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) product implementations for non-profit organizations and trade associations.

From 2006 to 2009, Praveen served as an Engineering Manager and Solutions Architect at CIBER, Inc., where they led IT projects for clients in various industries. Praveen was responsible for project management, client management, solution architecture, project delivery, and mentoring team members.

Praveen's career started in 1997 as a Software Engineer at HCL Infosystems Ltd., where they worked on developing applications for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in their Licensing and Inventory departments.

Overall, Praveen Patel has a strong background in technology leadership, project management, and solution architecture, with a focus on driving innovation and delivering successful IT solutions.

Praveen Patel has a Master's degree in Information Systems and Technology from The Johns Hopkins University. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Systems Management from the National Institute of Information Technology. Praveen also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Chemistry from the University of Mumbai.
