Pete Geddes

Pete Geddes has a diverse work experience. Pete started their career as an instructor at NOLS in 1986 and worked there until 1995. Pete then joined FREE in 1996 as an Executive Vice President and held that role for 14 years until 2010.

In 2010, they joined Property and Environment Research Center (PERC) as the Director of Development and Operations. Their responsibilities included managing daily operations, coordinating project and program development, and securing external support. Pete worked at PERC until 2011.

Since 2011, Pete has been associated with American Prairie, where they initially served as the Managing Director. American Prairie Reserve's mission is to create the largest wildlife reserve in the continental United States. Their role later progressed to Vice President and Chief External Relations Officer.

Pete Geddes has a strong educational background in resource conservation and geology. Pete earned a BS degree in Geology from St. Lawrence University in 1984, and later pursued an MS degree in Resource Conservation from the University of Montana, which they obtained in 1994. Prior to their university education, Pete attended Choate Rosemary Hall from 1977 to 1980 where they earned their High School Diploma. In addition to their formal education, Pete has also obtained certifications in Body Language for Leaders from LinkedIn in October 2018, and Wilderness First Responder and Nationally Registered EMT, although the institution and specific dates of these certifications are not provided.
