Javier Flores Kim is an experienced educator and scientist currently serving as a High School Science Teacher and Science Department Head at The American School Foundation since July 2020. In addition, Javier provides tutoring in IB Biology and Chemistry with Elite IB Tutors, having supported over 40 students with more than 600 hours of tutoring since January 2016. Previous roles include Research and Development Coordinator at the International Institute for Health Futures and Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Edinburgh, where a systematic review on food allergies was conducted. Javier's early research experience includes developing a model for studying drug resistance in leukemic cells at Rhode Island Hospital and serving in various academic support roles at Brown University. Javier holds a Master of Public Health from The University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with honors from Brown University, complemented by an International Baccalaureate from UWC Mahindra College.
