Matt Ellis has had a range of work experience in environmental health and safety and maintenance management. Matt started their career as an Operations Manager at SBM Management Services, LP in 2008 and held this position until 2011. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as an Environmental Health and Safety Manager at Overhead Door Corporation. In 2014, they became a Safety Manager at McMaster-Carr, where they stayed until 2015. Matt then joined PTC Group Holdings Corp as an Environmental Health and Safety Manager from 2015 to 2016. Currently, they are employed as the Environmental Health and Safety Director and Maintenance Manager at AT&F, a position they have held since June 2016.
Matt Ellis earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Industrial Safety and Technology from The University of Akron. Matt also obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Emergency Management from the same institution. In addition to their academic qualifications, Matt has completed several certifications, including Aerial Work Platform Safety, Certified Environmental Specialist, Competent Fall Protection (from Miller Fall Protection), HAZWOPER, Hazardous Waste Management (from Environmental Resource Center), Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings (from the Department of Homeland Security), Laser Safety Officer (from the Laser Institute of America), OSHA 30 HOUR GENERAL, RCRA, and Weapons of Mass Destruction Radiological&Nuclear Bomb Making (from the Department of Homeland Security). The specific months and years when these certifications were obtained are unknown.
