Ali Faramawy

Mr. Ali Faramawy is corporate vice president and president for Microsoft Middle East and Africa. Mr. Faramawy joined Microsoft in October 1997 as the general manager of Microsoft Egypt. In May 2002, Mr. Faramawy was named the regional director for sales, marketing, and services for a newly consolidated Microsoft Middle East Africa region. In 2004, Mr. Faramawy was promoted to Microsoft Middle East and Africa and in 2011 to corporate vice president of Microsoft Corporation. Mr. Faramawy graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alexandria, majoring in computer science and automatic control. He has an MBA in strategic marketing from the University of Hull in the United Kingdom. Mr. Faramawy serves on the AUC School of Business Dean’s Advisory Board.
