Senior Director Of Media Relations & University Spokesperson at The American University in Cairo

Rehab Saad has a rich and varied work experience. Rehab started their career at Al-Ahram Weekly in 1991 as the Deputy Managing Editor, where they worked until 2008. Rehab then joined The American University in Cairo in 2008, initially as an Assistant Director of Communications, followed by roles as Associate Director for Media Relations and Director of Communications. From 2011 to 2019, Rehab held the position of Director of Media Relations, before being promoted to Senior Director of Media Relations & University Spokesperson.

Rehab Saad holds a Master's Degree in Translation and Linguistics from the Faculty of Al Alsun, Ain Shams University, which was obtained between 1992 and 1994. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Literature, Translation, and Linguistics from Ain Shams University from 1986 to 1990. In addition to their formal education, Rehab Saad has obtained multiple certifications from various institutions, including Meltwater, LinkedIn, the International School of Communication (ISOC), The American University in Cairo, Hay Group, and Higher Ed Experts. These certifications cover a range of topics such as competitive benchmarking and analysis, public relations, communications strategy, crisis communication, leadership, voice coaching, job evaluation methodology, and social media marketing in higher education.
