Teresa C. Barger

Ms. Teresa C. Barger is the co-founder and managing director of Cartica Management LLC. Before establishing Cartica Management LLC, Ms. Barger worked for over 20 years at International Finance Corporation, making investments in emerging markets companies in nearly every region. Before IFC, she worked at McKinsey and Company. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She serves on the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association, ANERA, and the Gazelle Fund (an SME fund for Eurasia). She also serves on the Private Sector Advisory Group of the Global Corporate Governance Forum and the Pacific Pension Institute Advisory Council. Ms. Barger received her A.B. magna cum laude from Harvard College and her MBA from the Yale School of Management. She did post-graduate work at the American University in Cairo.
