Bethany Hannah

Bethany Hannah is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in wildfire management and environmental advocacy. Currently serving as Executive Director of The American Wildfire Experience since April 2017 and as Founder of The Smokey Generation since April 2014, Bethany has also held key roles at the Climate and Wildfire Institute as Deputy Director of Operations & External Affairs and as Interim Executive Director. Previous positions include Program Manager at Sacramento Tree Foundation and Owner of Wildland Fire Careers. Bethany's academic achievements include a PhD in Information and Knowledge Society from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, a Master's in Environmental Studies from Prescott College, and a Bachelor's in English and Political Ecology from The Evergreen State College.
