Bob Egan has over thirty years of experience in the technology industry. Bob began their career in 1987 as Director of Advanced Technology at Digital Equipment Corp (DEC). In 1995, they joined Gartner as VP and Research Director and was awarded Gartner's esteemed Thought Leadership award. Bob was also named Adweek's #1 most influential national analyst and #3 Most Influential Global Mobile/Telecom Analyst. At Gartner, Bob established a companywide strategic analysis research agenda for mobility, drove service growth through engagement and facilitating technology/vendor partnerships, and delivered keynotes, client presentations, and media interviews. In 2001, they moved to Corechange as GM & Chief Strategy Officer. Bob then founded Mobile Competency, LLC in 2002 and served as President and Founder. In 2005, they joined TowerGroup - a CEB Company as Global Head of Research & Chief Analyst, where they provided leadership to a global team that doubled LOB revenue to $100M and achieved a 97% client retention ratio. Bob also rearchitected and modernized intelligence gathering, client engagement, and research models, and founded North America's premier mobile banking conference. In 2009, Bob joined Corporate Executive Board as EVP and Chief Research Officer. In 2019, they joined The Analyst Syndicate as Contributing Research Director. Bob then founded The Sepharim Group in 2011, a market intelligence and advisory services firm that helps business leaders anticipate tectonic shifts in their industries.

Bob Egan holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Economics from Bryant University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology.
