Philip Poole serves as the Area Bishop for York-Credit Valley and Bishop Suffragan in the Diocese of Toronto since January 2005, overseeing 53 parishes and promoting various initiatives including annual clergy retreats, multicultural ministry, and social justice advocacy. Prior to this role, Philip acted as Rector at Trinity Aurora Anglican Church from 1987 to 2005, successfully raising $4.1 million for church renovation and expansion. Additionally, Philip held the position of President of the International Board for The Compass Rose Society from 2003 to 2012, having been a member since 2000. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Divinity (honoris causa) and two Master's Degrees in Theology and Divinity from the University of Toronto - University of Trinity College, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Wilfrid Laurier University.
