Casey Miller, DVM, MS, has a diverse range of work experience in the veterinary field. They are currently serving as the Chief Veterinarian at The Animal Foundation since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Shelter Veterinarian at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League from March 2022 to August 2022. From April 2021 to January 2022, they held the role of Medical Director at Hearts Alive Village Las Vegas.

In their previous tenure at The Animal Foundation from October 2018 to April 2021, Casey Miller served as both the Lead Veterinarian (August 2020 to April 2021) and a Shelter Veterinarian (October 2018 to August 2020). They also gained experience as a Shelter Veterinarian at Miami-Dade County from June 2016 to September 2018.

Casey Miller began their veterinary career as a Veterinary Technician/Receptionist at Suburban Animal Hospital from February 2007 to May 2016. Prior to that, they worked as a Veterinary Technician at Kelly's Animal Hospital from February 2006 to August 2006, and as a Veterinary Assistant at God's Creatures Small Animal Clinic from September 2004 to February 2006.

In 2010, they completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Animal Sciences at the same institution. Later, from 2012 to 2016, Casey attended the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, where they earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.

In terms of additional certifications, Casey obtained a Clinical Small Animal Dentistry Certificate from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in April 2016 and a Maddie's Professional Certificate in Shelter Medicine from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2016. Most recently, in April 2020, they obtained a Fear Free Shelters Certification from Fear Free LLC.
