Cassandra Targett

Cassandra Targett has over two decades of experience in information management and engineering. Currently serving on the Lucene/Solr Project Management Committee at The Apache Software Foundation since August 2013, Cassandra has also held leadership roles at Lucidworks from July 2009 to November 2024, including VP of Engineering and Director of Engineering. Previous positions include Engineering Manager at Copyright Clearance Center, Manager of Support Services at Ex Libris Group, and roles at Northern Light Technology, where responsibilities ranged from development management to editorial oversight. Early career experience includes roles at MJ Research and Mother Jones Magazine. Cassandra holds a BA in Literature from Bard College and an MS in Library and Information Science from Simmons University.
