Xiangrui Meng

Xiangrui Meng is a Principal Software Engineer at Databricks since January 2014 and a Project Management Committee member for Apache Spark at The Apache Software Foundation since May 2014. Prior to these roles, Meng served as an Applied Research Engineer (Senior Software Engineer) at LinkedIn from October 2012 to January 2014 and completed a research internship at Microsoft in the summer of 2010. Meng holds a Ph.D. in Computational and Mathematical Engineering from Stanford University, obtained from 2007 to 2012, and a combined BS and MS in Computational Mathematics from Peking University, completed from 2001 to 2007.
