Steve Roach

Steve Roach is a seasoned appraiser and instructor with extensive experience in fine art and rare coin appraisal. Currently serving as an AQB Certified USPAP Instructor at The Appraisal Foundation since May 2016, Steve is authorized to teach national USPAP courses. Additionally, as the owner of Steve Roach Appraisal + Advisory Services, Steve provides independent, USPAP-compliant appraisals and consulting services, specializing in rare coin collections and equitable distribution situations. A certified member of the International Society of Appraisers since 2007, Steve held a leadership role on the Board of Directors, managing a significant budget. Steve's editorial expertise was honed as Editor-at-Large for Coin World and previously as Editor-in-Chief, while previous roles include Associate Specialist at Christie's and Director at Heritage Auctions, where Steve founded the trusts and estates department. Steve holds a JD in Dispute Resolution from The Ohio State University and a BA in History of Art and Organizational Studies from the University of Michigan.
