Cheryl Mele serves as the Development and Volunteer Coordinator at The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region since January 2017, focusing on developing and managing the volunteer program while coordinating volunteer activities. Previously, Cheryl held positions as Development Assistant and Intern within the same organization, where responsibilities included assisting with fundraising event planning and grant preparation. Additionally, Cheryl has experience working as a Cashier and Scanner at Shoprite since September 2014, providing customer service in a fast-paced environment. Earlier work experience includes a role as a Crew member at College Fund Bus Works from June 2009 to August 2016. Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Towson University and an educational background from Harford Community College and Fallston High School.

The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region is a private, non-profit local chapter of The Arc of Maryland and The Arc of The United States, the largest volunteer organization in the world devoted exclusively to improving the quality of life for all adults and children with mental retardation and their families. It is an affiliate agency of The United Way of Central Maryland and The United Way of Cecil County.
